Andie checked out Earthwise Gardens this week to get some inspiration for this weeks concoction. They are located right on Elm St, and serve up a lovely selection of local produce, meat, cheese, coffee spices, body, and home products! They also offer food prep workshops and a CSA program with Denton's own Johnson's Backyard Garden. We are going straight to the heart chakra in celebration of love winning this past Friday, so stop by on Wednesday for a nice cold glass of "Anahata" after our yoga class!
The heart chakra - wellspring of love, warmth, compassion, and joy is located at the center of the chest. The "way of the heart" or the "path of the heart" is living life with kindness, love, and compassion for others. Anahata allows us to open ourselves to the connection that ties each one of us together. Love and unity, are about letting go of the ego and allowing yourself to not only love others selflessly, but begin to walk the path to loving ourselves.
