“Habits allow us to not think about what we’re doing . . . giving us the illusion of ease. When we are under the illusion of ease, not thinking about what we’re doing. Breathing the same old way, moving the same old way, thinking the same old way we check out of the present, out of happiness itself.” ~ Alex Levin
As we go throughout our everyday life it is to easy to allow ourselves to fall into the comfort of routine. How can you really enjoy any moment if you are just going through the motions? We spend most of our days inside our heads and out of our bodies. Not being aware and present in what we are doing and how we are doing it. Yoga presents the opportunity to get out of hears and into our bodies. To become one with the moment we are in. When we connect with our breath, using the full spectrum of each inhale and exhale to create and find movement, we are able to appreciate the now. How amazing our bodies are and what they are capable of, instead of being swept away into habit and monotony. Yoga is about connecting our breath with our bodies, checking into the present moment, finding happiness and peace in the Now.
